Lisa Boostani (born in 1989 in Toulouse) is a French director, photographer and performer. She studied photography at the Gobelins school in Paris.
Navigating the digital landscapes, she takes on avatars to highlight the way in which screen interfaces alienate our relationship with the world. Her works reinvent and deconstruct the image of the body to better denounce the artificiality of the representations that surround us. Between magic and medicine, she plays with psycho-physical dynamics and their various languages to offer new forms of emancipation. Experiencing her body and her voice as healing tools, her research is part of a transformative process, from fragmentation to the quest for unity. An invitation to reestablish the link with the sensitive and the living, the nature that we inhabit and that inhabits us.
